THE BEE BROTHERS
We often joke that we have blood in our beekeeping rather than Beekeeping in our blood. Spanning three generations we have always had our own bees in our family. Initially while only keeping bees as a hobby we now have over 12 Apiarys spread over Cork, Kerry and Limerick which allows for a fantastic arrays of flavours in our honey each year with no two years tasting the same.
AIMS
Our primary aim is to raise the awareness with the public about the benefits of real Irish Honey and our beloved Native Irish Bee, Apis Mellifera Mellifera (AMM).
BIODIVERSITY & SUSTAINABILITY
We always do our best to keep our practices sustainable and aim to generate the least amount of waste and carbon as possible. To this end, all of our hive equipment and products are either recyclable or have already been recycled. We actively encourage all our customers to return empty jars and our packaging is usually reused packing from a different product. The hives themselves are all second hand pieces or have been made by ourselves from material we have upcylced to have a second life. We are not worried about our hives looking pretty or having shiny awards. We solely wish for our bees to be happy and our honey to be tasty!
MEET THE TEAM
-
Jeff
Jeff is a fulltime frontline worker and from being often seen in the company of donkeys and sheep from his own farming has earned the affectionate name of Dr. Dolittle. He primarily looks after our Kerry bees as well as being responsible for keeping our Bee Brothers Fleet of vehicles up and running.

Phil
Phil ( pictured right), a veteran of the public service, primarily looks after our (and in his opinion the best) Cork based Bees. Having spent time in Eastern Europe he has brought a fresh perspective on beekeeping to our Irish Bees from observing Apriar’s housing hundreds of hives each year.
